Intercepts include 107 metres with 99.1 g/t AgEq (0.39 g/t Au, 77.7 g/t Ag), and 42.5 metres of 167.7 g/t AgEq (1.16 g/t Au, 104 g/t Ag) from two separate zones.

Mineralization is hosted within a complex system of structures, lithologic contacts, hydrothermal breccias, sulfide disseminations as well as sheeted and stockwork veining. The mineralizing system is a series of telescoping, multi-episodic events comprising a complex distribution of silver-gold with variable basemetal content including lead>copper>zinc as so far seen.

Host rocks include Permo-Triassic Mitu Formation andesitic volcanics, volcaniclastics and interbedded limestone with later Tertiary, dacite to quartz latite volcanic and subvolcanic rocks localized within a north to northeast trending graben. Geophysical evidence along with drillcore observation suggests that an important control to localizing ore grade mineralization may be the structural-lithologic break occurring along a sub-volcanic, felsic dome margin.

The company is nearing the conclusion of Phase II drilling where all 9 holes to date are mineralized base on visual inspection. Analytical results are pending. It is Canadian Shields intent to fast track a resource estimate for the property during 2008 given deserving results from the current drill program.
